Bought this item as a Christmas gift for my wife. She was very excited when opening it and thought it and other items were well made and would be very useful when kayaking. will actually be put to use in Spring 2022 - will try to remember to update review then.

Tried and Tested

I have 4 of them securing rods and a net. Flipped my Kayak and couldn’t be more pleased with how these performed, didn’t loose anything valuable because of the Defender. Also, the quick detach feature is awesome, very easy to detach and attach while fishing multiple Rods.

Paddling is stealthier now

I was using a coiled plastic paddle leash with big carabiner attached to my yak. It worked but made a lot of noise and the coil was heavy to move around for 6 hrs.
